Ingredients:
Six Vanilla Beans
2 Cups of Vodka
Split Vanilla Beans lengthwise down the side (leave an inch at the bottom to keep your beans in tact). Pour the vodka into a mason jar. Place the beans in the jar, pushing them down so they are covered in vodka. Cover and store in a dark place. After about six to eight weeks, the vanilla should be a nice amber color. You can pour them into a decorative bottle and place a bean inside to let the vanilla continue to gain in flavor.
Instead of Vodka, try Brandy or Rum. If you prefer a sweeter vanilla, you may add some sugar syrup.
