Zamouri Spices prepares Smen the traditional moroccan way. It is pure butter washed using a blend of herbs then preserved with natural mineral salt.



Smen has a deep, pungent aroma and distinctive almost cheesy flavor.



Smen is used in Morocco to enhance with a characteristic taste to many of Morocco's savory dishes, especially couscous and tagines.



Note: If using more than a tsp of Smen as an ingredient in your cooking, you shouldn't have to add any additinal salt until you taste your food first.
