Moroccan Kebab

Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground lamb, ground beef, or a combination
- 1 small onion, finely grated or minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 3 tablespoons Zamouri Spices Kebab Spice – Moroccan Style
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- Moroccan Kebab Skewers
Directions
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes before grilling.
- Combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, cilantro, Kebab Spice, olive oil, egg and yogurt in a large bowl.
- Mix gently until everything is evenly combined. Avoid overworking the meat.
- Divide the mixture and shape it around skewers into long, narrow kebabs. No skewers? Shape the mixture into small elongated patties instead.
- Grill over medium-high heat, turning as needed, until browned and the meat reaches a safe internal temperature.
- Serve hot with warm flatbread, couscous, rice, grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
Make It Your Own
For a little more heat, add fresh chili or a pinch of cayenne. A squeeze of lemon just before serving adds a bright finish.
