Charmoula Salmon
Bold, savory and incredibly easy, this Moroccan-inspired salmon turns an everyday piece of fish into a flavorful dinner with almost no effort. Zamouri Spices Charmoula Tagine Spice combines cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic, lemon peel and other warm spices into one aromatic blend—just add olive oil and let the Charmoula do the work.

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets, about 6 oz each
- 2 tablespoons Zamouri Spices Charmoula Tagine Spice
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1–2 tablespoons water, as needed
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish, optional
Directions
- Make the Charmoula marinade. In a small bowl, combine the Charmoula Tagine Spice and olive oil. Stir in 1 tablespoon of water to create a loose paste, adding a little more water if needed.
- Season the salmon. Pat the salmon fillets dry and coat the tops and sides generously with the Charmoula mixture. Let the salmon marinate for 15–30 minutes.
- Bake. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place the salmon on a lightly oiled or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until cooked to your preferred doneness.
- Serve. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired. Serve with couscous, rice, roasted vegetables or a simple salad.
Make It Your Own
This same easy Charmoula mixture is delicious with cod, halibut, shrimp or other seafood. Adjust the cooking time for the seafood you choose.
